Brown paper packages tied up with string.........

Contain lots of very pretty things ;). This was my parcel from the Good Enough to Eat swap - from my partner Mel from At home with MelMel.

Oh yes MrPostie has been - I was dressed & decent for once - mind you it was about 11.30am!!

Inside was;

dig a little deeper & unpack it all;

Lots of pretty parcels - can you spy 2 CK paper bags? - the temptation to rip into it all was very high but as a blogger I know the importance of taking pics and savouring each parcel for the benefit of my readers ;)

First there was;

A big hanging strawberry - Mel had hinted at this on her blog - very pretty I shall be finding it a home later.
Then came;

Some CK tissues, a cute little pack of wipes (perfect for days out) and pretty heart shaped soap.

A CK bowl - which will end up being used for storing bits & pieces.

Cute buttons - definitely good enough to eat.
There were a couple of other items in my parcel - which made the original group pic but didn't get their own pic as my batteries are dead (again)!!

An apple print oven glove and 5 bars of chocolate (need to hide them from my boys).

Thank you Mel - for my parcel of loveliness and for being my swap partner :)

Mel has blogged about what I sent her here and here's the strawberry hint too.

Her pictures are so much better than mine - but here's what I sent as one big picture;

Going back a couple of my posts, I mentioned that I had a spare CK catalogue - that is now winging its way to Sarah @ Red Gingham - it does seem that CK hasn't quite made its way that far around the world so I though Sarah deserved a treat. Kandi I shall message you later as I know that there was one other person who wanted a catalogue too.

I also promised a recipe for the Banana bread I made - here's my version;

225g self raising flour
100g butter
75g caster sugar
3 banana mashed roughly
2 eggs lightly beaten
2 tbsp honey

Grease a 900g/2lb loaf tin & line the bottom with baking parchment/greaseproof

Sieve flour

Rub butter into flour with fingers until mixture resembles breadcrumbs

Stir sugar, bananas, beaten, eggs & honey. Mix till it forms a dropping consistency.

Spoon into loaf tin.

Bake for approx 1 hour @ 160c / 325f or Gas Mark 3 - check with a skewer to see if its cooked.

Leave to cool & then turn out to finish cooling.

Hide from children as they'll devour it very quickly ;)

Right its Wednesday again - need to sort my stuff for S&B tonight - hurrah my mate Country Girl is coming - seems ages since we've had a good natter.

See you soon

Ooh lovely goodies, both sent and received! Where are the wipes from? Never seen them before but they appeal to my mummy side (always need them when we're out and about but never have any on me!).
