Hey there MrBlue :)

Good evening

What a day - blue skies from 7am until the light faded about 6pm :) The ideal day for throwing all the windows open and for making my washing machine work overtime.  It has been the most lovely early spring day - it was great to leave the gloves & hat at home when I went out this morning.

It was the perfect day to start taking photos for this months Scavenger hunt - plenty of shadows to choose from but I'll share those at the end of the month. BTW I think I've found some Lions - they appear in the most strangest of places ;)  The sunshine brought out some of my favourite things too;

Daffodils just starting to burst open.

Ladybirds coming out of hibernation.

The postie brought me a little parcel today - these rose beads which are destined to be turned into jewellery;

I also finished the first 2 raggys for the shop;

I have another pile of limbs to turn and stuff later this evening - this is my least favourite part of the process.

How was your weekend? Ours was busy. Saturday morning Little Son and I took part in a protest march through the town regarding the proposed library closures - we made it onto the local news bulletins and also the local paper too;

Yesterday we visited friends in Essex for lunch. All 4 boys disappeared off upstairs - the beauty of the common language of Nintendo ;) We did manage to get them outside for a while too - just wish I'd taken pictures of them all on the trampoline - big son who is ungainly on dry land is even more so when he two or three feet up in the air!!

Right off now for a wander around blogland and to say Hello to all my lovely new followers :) - I feel a giveaway coming on very soon!!

See you soon

Oh joy - the spell check isn't working - sorry to any English teachers who read my ramblings ;)

Hi there, we had frost this morning but it was so lovely to shed the gloves later today - there was even blue sky.

Your rag dolls look absolutely lovely, much as I love my boys I do sometimes wish I had a girl to make things for! Lucky (or not, depends!) for my niece I suppose.

I dried my washing outside for the first time this year, when i say dried I mean hung as it was as damp when i brought it in as it was when I hung it up!
Obviously it's warmer down there.
Good on you for the protest march. xxx

So worrying about the cuts to so many services, especially libraries. Our local one has just undergone a 3 month restoration recently. That is probably the "kiss of death".

I love your pretty rose beads and look forward to see what you make with them.

Cute little dolls too. I am having a terrible time trying to get the faces right on my girls. Am still waiting some fabric pens and have decided that just doing some eyes might be better...a case of less is more! Dev x

Yes, we had washing hanging outside for the first time this year, and also for the first time, I felt warm sun on my back. Long may it last.

Good for you going on the protest march.

Just look at those gorgeous dolls, you clever lady! I think if our local libraries closed, I'd keel over. I hope your library stays open

I did a 10 hour shift yesterday 8am to 6pm and it was light when I went and light when I came home and I did have chance to get outside whilst at work (in a Children's Centre) and it was so warm I TOOK MY COAT OFF. Great joy.

Been a gorgeous day again today - the most beautiful sunset when I dropped the kids off with their father - cross I forgot my camera! I've just discovered the Scavenger hunt and got the kids involved too. They had some great ideas for the lion. I have one myself too, plus spotted an unexpected opportunity for the 'something green', but that may have to wait till morning as three of my 6 downlighters in the kitchen have given up the ghost!

I've managed to get quite a bit of line dried washing done this week, it's so much nicer. Well done with the doll's ~ they are sure to sell. Ohhh where did you get those gorgeous beads from?
