A little camp & a little kitsch ;)

Good evening

How was your weekend?

Ours was good :) Firstly the boys cleared off to scout camp on Friday - they returned earlier this afternoon, tired, suntanned and with a special boy/scout camp aroma about them ;)

On Saturday MrVV & I headed off on our own little adventure. Firstly a shopping trip to Norwich - lots of little treats bought - a rotary cutter for me was the best one - something I've wanted for ages - can't wait to try it our - just waiting for a cutting mat from a sister.

After shopping we headed over to the coast where we set up camp for the night;
Very cozy - just our little tent, 2 chairs & a small stove for tea-making :)

Once camp was set up & the first of many mugs of tea drunk we headed off to have a giggle at the amusements - my favourite are the penny falls & I've quite a knack at getting a prize - this time it was two - very kitsch and very 'simples' 2 meerkats which the boys adore!!

Last but not least - whilst rummaging in Primarni yesterday - was hunting out some of the CKesque pyjama bottoms for me, I found this t-shirt for big son which is really great - shame they didn't have one in a ladyfit for me;

Have got all the fun of the back-to-school stuff to sort this evening - I know I've had all week to do it but I'm just never that organised!!

Excuse the lack of photos - I really don't like my borrowed camera. Hopefully MrPostie will bring my new one soon & I can start enjoying taking photos again!!

Sounds like you have a fab weekend.

I love your tent - looks really cosy.

My weekend has been spent in the garden with the children and Matthew - my husband - pottering around, planting a few geraniums and firing up the BBQ.

Have also got to get organised for school - have an extra day though as it is INSET Day at school tomorrow.

We had the tent out for the kids to sleep in last night it really feels like summer this weekend, well right up until the rain this afternoon. I bet you love your rotary cutter I don't know how I managed without one!

Your tent looks very cosy.Don't think I could do camping anymore..I like my home comforts too much...e.g.the loo in the middle of the night!We've had sunshine all weekend and the rain promised for today never arrived.

Thanks, you've just reminded me that I've got to dig out the PE kit and book bag. And water bottle and sun cream. This half term hol seems to have been really long. Can't believe the next hols are the summer ones!!! EEK!

Help - I've lost a pair of PE shorts, and am wondering why I didn't do this last week-end? How lovely to have a little time away just the two of you. The cushions sound great, I wish I made it to Norwich more often.xx

I've just been catching up on all the blog chics, as I've been away. Just been reading Sarah's lovely story about the CK catalogue. What a lovely thing to do. So enjoyed seeing your summer house too. The bunting is fab!
So is Sarah's peg bag. Very you indeed.

We never been camping...
Although we are considering it, this Summer!
We just need to convince our kids!
I also been to Primark this weekend and managed to get some pretty pj`s. Although I didn`t see the KEEP COOL AND RAVE ON TOP, otherwise I would have bought it for my little boy.
