Bank Holiday Weekend - Part 2 :)

Good evening

How was your day? Ours was much drier than yesterday. We've been out & about making the most of the return of the sunshine. We decided we'd not been to visit our favourite town much this summer and that needed rectifying before the boys return to school later this week.

Where did we go??

We headed up the coast to Southwold. Fish & chips were bought and a space found on the seawall to eat them.  That was a bit tricky as the wind was coming off the sea and it meant the occasional chip got blown straight off the fork!!

I've seen pictures today on other blogs of flat calm seas - well it wasn't like that in Suffolk. In fact I've not see it quite this rough in summer for a long time;

This picture was taken up on the high prom - you can see how high the spray was reaching ;

Much to the boys disgust, we found Morris dancers outside one of the pubs;

Home in time for little son to put the finishing touches to the cake he made this morning;

He's getting rather good at baking - even better at washing up ;)

Enjoy the last few days of the summer hols - we've got a bit of back-to-school stuff still to sort. First task tomorrow is haircuts - both boys are sporting a yeti-look at the moment.

umm we had calm seas today. Joe tells me he is growing his hair - at least I'll save on the haircut as he now needs men sizes shoes !

Oh I know that Yeti-look! Think we finally managed to convince DS2 that he really does need a hair cut before he goes back to school!

The waves certainly are rough aren't they? You wouldn't believe it was summer with the temperatures and weather we have been having. Certainly Autumn seems to have come early, even the conkers are falling around here!

You can get your son to do the dishes?! I am impressed.

Hi Vicki, The T-shirt was a b/day pressies for my son ealrier this year. I've had a look at the label and it's from BHS, the make is Cheeky Monkey, don't know if that's an independent label or a BHS own one. I just noticed you are starting at a charity shop from your message on Sophie's blog. I do a Wed a.m. at one and love it. Hope you enjoy yours!

We don't get too many waves here in London (fortunately) but it's certainly been very windy and now the rain's set in, groan. Children back to school now so finally it's time to do some stuff for myself me thinks. Thanks so much for your best wishes, things are moving in the right direction finally, and thankfully. xox
