Sunny Monday

Good afternoon

Phew what a hot one - more blue skies, the occasional fluffy white cloud and about 1mm of rain at 4am!!

I know - I must be mad to be indoors but sadly at the moment I'm being held prisoner by pollen - for the first time in about 20 years I am really suffering with hayfever :( I guess the pollen isn't getting dampened down so instead it is attacking my eyes & nose :( So whilst my garden suffers - my sewing room has been getting loads of attention!

A new frock for me :)

Brooches and hair slides towards the craft fair

More teacup pincushions - have another 4 to finish tonight.

The best place for me at the moment is right on the coast, so we've been to Aldeburgh Saturday and Sunday for a walk - it was so quiet there - hardly a tourist in sight - strange. Sunday Little Son came too - he thought he might get an ice-cream - he was right;

I picked up some new sunglasses from the opticians this morning - they cover more of my eyes and might just help reduce the amount of pollen that gets in there and yes they are purple ;)

As you can see my natural 'highlights' have been allowed to take over - only a few more inches of coloured hair left to go before I am back to being natural for the first time in over 15 years! Kind of used to it now - my hair feels better too.

Wow @ all the comments on my last post - I wonder if there will be a national shortage of purple shoes?? Hope everyone who wanted one got their CK bag - that mag has sold our in our little town completely.

Right off for a quick blog hop and then wait for my boys to return home from school - its their first full week in ages - I think by Friday they will be shattered.

See you soon.

I have heard that lots of people who don't usually suffer with hay fever have had it this year!

Love the hair, I often wish I could go natural as I quite like grey hair, as you say though it is the process of growing it out that takes the time! Well done for sticking at it!

I'm letting the colour grow out of my hair as well, although I think I've got more 'natural highlights' than you! ;-D

I've been doing a little sewing today as well.

I feel your pain with hayfever though *touch wood* not had any problems so far.

The dress is great love the Japanese dolls, very cool!

Taking your lunch to school in an Oxo tin sounds pretty cool to me :)

I love your dress Vicki, it's gorgeous.

I'm afraid I'm going the other way with my hair - fed up with the gray so have just made an appointment for highlights! Whilst only having a sprinkling of the wretched things, those that I do have stick right up shouting "look at me!!!".

Love the shades and the shades in your hair too. I keep threatening to let money go to its natural colour, but then the boys just keep telling me I am too grey

Hope your hayfever settles down soon, I know some friends who really suffer with it so feel for you. Loving your crafty bits and bobs - fabulous! Scarlett x

I love the dress, especially the matryoshka fabric! Have you tried homeopathic remedies for the hay fever - my husband and daughter find them very effective. Purple is the way to go, definitely - perhaps you could try purple hair next?

Sorry about the hayfever, Jon's the same at the moment, it seems to be a lot worse than it normally is.
The dress is gorgeous and well done with your hair. xxx

Good for you growing out your colour! Wish I could, but just not brave enough! Been going grey since I was 23, so would probably be totally white by now!

Get yourself to the Doctors - there is lots they can give you for hayfever, so that you can enjoy the lovely sun! My tablets weren't strong enough, so I have a nasal spray as well now and am lots better!

I'm thinking I'm going to have to colour my hair soon...too many greys for my liking now!

Sorry to hear about your hayfever... a nasty thing this can be I know. Love your new glasses too, purple being one of my all time favourite colours and I think grey hair is rather beautiful...well donefor growing it out. I also loved the photo of your purple shoes in the last post, beautiful amonst the daisys. I managed to snap up the mag with the free CK bag which as you say is a perfect size for CS bargains. I love your hairclips that you have sewn they look beautiful and I am sure will sell well. I have made vintage button hairslides for a local vintage shop in my town and they sold really well. Take care and hope the hayfever calms down a wee bit xox

My 9yo suddenly had hayfever a couple of weeks ago too, he's never had it before. His sister isn't too bad this year but is getting good at taking the tablets before it gets really bad.
Love your frock! and the hairslides/brooches.

You have been productive. At least something good has come from the hayfever. Sorry you're suffering, my husband gets it each year so I know it's no fun. Good luck with the sales x

Wow you have been busy, love the new frock. We don't have a hayfever problem up here at the mo as the weather has changed from tropical to wet and windy the last few days. Any excuse to stay inside and craft hey!

Loving those shades and my boys too are suffering really badly with hay fever this year, I feel so sorry for them. It tends to get better as the months pass though.

Hi Vicki and thanks so much for the info. My lost post was about inviting people to meet up with me in London on 11th or 12th June. I'll re-post it but consider yourself invited anyway!
