Have you got snow?? Nothing here in Suffolk - just sunshine & its very cold.
Am wrapped up today like a russian doll - so many layers. Have resorted to wearing my old Ugg boots as slippers as my feet are so cold :(
Its been a fairly quiet week - sort of calm before the festive storm starts to hit this weekend. Brass engagements for little son & MrVV - think it will be time to hunt the thermals out for them.
I'll managed to finish my festive WIP's;
Mum's Christmas pressie - a snuggling on the sofa quilt
Its little hand sewn label
Knitted 'paper' chains
The reality uncropped shot with my cluttered kitchen dresser!!
Usually each week I visit all 4 of the charity shops in town at least once - recently I've not found much. But this week has been very successful - a couple of additions to my wardrobe - a NoaNoa beret for just £1 and a gorgeous green sweater for another couple of pounds. I was very pleased the other day to find this handsome fella in our church shop for just 20p!!
Hopefully over the next few weeks I'll be lucky enough to find some more festive additions to the house.
Right off now to try & keep warm. I must get my decoration swap parcel wrapped today and possibly even my SS one too.
Keep warm & I'll see you soon.

We have had some snow here but now the sun is out so it's melting fast! Miss S will be upset! Love your quilt - looks really snuggly. x
Ooooh pretty!! I love your tag too!! Its the sweetest!

No snow here in Wiltshire (as yet) but its clouding over now, so we may get a few flakes! Your uncropped photo made me laugh, my photos always have to be cropped to get rid of all my stuff that's lying around! Love the quilt & knitted paper chains - great ideas.

Hi Vicki. We have snow over here in Fram! Great big flakes too! Nothing like the snow in the north though, brrrr! I love your quilt, could do with one like that here now. I could just imagine drifting off to dreamland, nice and toasty, bliss!
We have been charity shopping too. I picked up the most beautiful bowl, covered in flowers and took it to my mums to show her. I left without it, she fell in love, lol! Which town do you go to?
No snow in Bristol - but it is clouding over and colder than it's been for a while.
Lovely quilt, looks nice and warm x
I love the knitted paper chain. I started to crochet one but it was taking too long so I gave up. Patience is not one of my strong points unfortunately!

Oh we have loads and loads of snow up here in Northumberland, feel free to come take some! It took us 3 hours to get to work, normally 40mins drive ~ the kids are delighted though as their school was shut.
Wonderful blanket for your Mum, it's beautiful!

I found two candy striped pillowcases in the CS today for 99p.I can go for weeks without finding anything though. :o)
lovely quilt for your mum! the knitted chain is such a novel idea!
You're doing better than me Vicki...been so wrapped up in getting my new space and the house sorted that I haven't had time to even think about sewing etc... I am suddenly aware that December is just round the corner and I haven't even finished my advent swap so panic stations are setting in.
I bet your mum will love her snuggly quilt. I sort a lovely quilt last night at my sewing group. Very simple, yet very effective so I'm going to have a go at making one like it.
Blessings,
andrea
