Whoops!

Evening

Well this certainly isn't what I planned (a) for the bank holiday weekend and (b) for my 300th post!

The school reunion last night was brilliant - 4 1/2 hours of great fun, chat and catching up. Then after one record and a dance - Bad Manners Can-Can, disaster! A ping in my left calf and searing pain. After a restless night and a chat with NHS Direct, a trip to A&E was made. One torn Achilles Tendon - one temporary cast - a pair of crutches and enforced sofa rest!

Back tomorrow for a proper coloured cast - apparently I have a huge choice of colours - boys are wondering if flowery is an option!!

Heyho - let this be a lesson - middle-aged women and the can-can don't mix!!

Oh my. How awful. But at least you get a cast with a choice of colours - maybe something neutral to go with every outfit hehe! x

Poor you! That sounds terribly painful! I think you should demand a custom made flowery cast!! LOL! Take it easy and get better soon. Cx

Oh. What bitter disappointment that you couldn't carry on dancing to Adam Ant, Madness, Bananarama etc etc...
At least you can read, watch endless tv and get waited on hand and foot. Go for it! Ax

The colours of casts these days are fantastic but I don't think they do any flowery ones I'm afraid! That sounds really painful. I hope they give you some suitably strong painkillers and that you feel better soon. Make the most of your rest!

Don't think flowery castes have been invented yet but I'm sure you will have plenty of time to improvise with the choices available! hope it's not too painful.

I've had both legs in plaster in the last few years. I've had blue and pink and as one was over Christmas I had a black cast so it'd (sort of) go with my going-out boots! I wasn't allowed to put any weight at all on the last one (7weeks) and it was verrrrrry boring.
Hope you have a couple of projects lined up. Dawn x
